One day I got the question…
One day I got the question from one HR (spoiler alert: now it’s my colleague 😂) like this one: why have you chosen to be a recruiter? Your job is pretty interesting too, isn’t it?
Yeah, it is, each job can be exciting if you enjoy it. I stopped doing it with full of my heart and changed my mind about job perspectives. But have I chosen sth different totally? Kinda. My answer was so peculiar that someone could think I was crazy. I said that I opted for a new job position because it resonated with me and I felt curiosity to learn it deeper but the general idea kept being the same.
What idea is it? What’s common between a tutor and a recruiter?
In both situations you are like a bridge connecting something meaningful between each other and I’m just hooked on this feeling.
Being an English tutor you help your students to learn a new language as well as open a new world enriched with opportunities, experiences, adventures...
Being a recruiter it means to give people a helping hand with the search of their dream job or attempt to find themselves and try sth new.
I love this feeling when I don’t go through the motions. It’s way important for me to know that my work means sth and I’m useful too.
So as it turned out I changed my occupation but I didn’t stop to be a connecting element in this mind-blowing working life 🙃
