Senior Data QA (Full-stack QA: Manual + Automation + AI) 📍Velvetech LLC is looking for an experienced Senior Data QA Engineer to join our fully remote international team.

Key responsibilities: • Perform manual QA of AI pipelines, AI agents, and AI-based applications, including reviewing thousands of AI-generated e-commerce/marketplace listings to find inconsistencies and anomalies. • Validate data integrity through SQL queries (source-to-target mappings, row counts, referential integrity, business rules). • Build reusable Python test suites (PyTest, Pandas, Great Expectations) to automate regression and smoke tests across pipelines. • Monitor and troubleshoot ETL/ELT pipelines (Airflow, dbt or similar): analyze logs, investigate job failures, identify and resolve root causes. • Quantify data quality metrics (completeness, freshness, accuracy) and communicate findings to stakeholders in clear and actionable form. • Participate in UI testing of web applications (secondary focus). • Collaborate closely with Data, AI, and BI engineers to improve QA processes and expand test coverage. • Continuously improve QA practices: code standards, version control, CI/CD, dashboards for data quality monitoring.

What we expect: • 3+ years of experience in manual testing of complex systems (not only UI) • Strong SQL skills for large datasets validation • Hands-on experience with Python automation (PyTest, Pandas, Great Expectations) • Experience with data pipelines / ETL/ELT debugging • English B2+ for everyday communication

Nice-to-have: • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). • Knowledge of CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). • Familiarity with data observability platforms (Monte Carlo, Databand, Metaplane). • Experience creating QA dashboards (Tableau, Looker, Plotly).
