The smartest person in the room usually slows the project down.

Not because they’re wrong.

Because they keep making the solution better.

While everyone else is trying to make it happen.

I’ve seen projects delayed for weeks because someone wanted:

- one more report; - one more analysis; - one more workshop; - one more alignment meeting.

I’ve started asking one question before every project:

“What decision can we make today with the information we already have?”

It’s amazing how often that’s enough to move forward.

The goal isn’t perfect decisions.

The goal is building organizations that learn faster than everyone else.
