The best Customer Success teams don’t just solve tickets 🎫

Over the past 13 years, I’ve worked with customers from different countries, cultures, and industries from technical support to fintech, cryptocurrency, forex, and high-net-worth client services. One lesson has stayed with me throughout my career: Customers rarely leave because of one mistake. They leave when they stop feeling heard. The best Customer Success teams don’t just solve tickets, they build trust. Here are three principles I believe every customer-focused company should embrace:

✅ Listen before responding. Understanding the real problem is often more valuable than giving a quick answer.

✅ Measure relationships, not just metrics. CSAT and response times matter, but long-term loyalty comes from consistent customer experiences.

✅ Use AI to empower people, not replace them. Automation should eliminate repetitive work so teams can focus on solving complex customer problems and building stronger relationships. As Customer Success continues to evolve, I’m particularly interested in how AI and automation can help companies deliver faster, smarter, and more personalized support while keeping the human element at the center.

I’m always happy to connect with professionals in Customer Success, Customer Operations, FinTech, SaaS, and AI who share this vision.

What do you think will be the most important skill for Customer Success professionals over the next five years?
